Relationships go Hand in Hand

A chance conversation with sister organisation Six Degrees has led to a mutually fulfilling relationship between ArtHaus and enterprise-creation charity, Hand in Hand International.

Hand in Hand International supports the creation of jobs among poor and marginalised women in the developing world through the establishment of microenterprises.. The charity’s chaired by former ABB CEO, Percy Barnevik – a long-time client of both ArtHaus and Six Degrees.

“We heard that Hand in Hand International, the fund-raising arm of the charity, was looking for a full service communications partner to help them communicate with donors, NGOs and governments and, indeed with their in-country organisations,” ArtHaus’ Mark Luckett. “The idea of an organisation helping people to help themselves fits seamlessly with our ethos and we were delighted to get involved. We now work at cost or below for Hand in Hand providing input from consultancy to collateral, including branding that works around the world, the charity’s printed material, such as its annual Report and, perhaps most importantly, a global website.

“Unlike most charities, Hand in Hand’s donor base is largely made up of corporates and foundations plus wealthy individuals. We’ve needed to create a style and tone that fits this demographic in what’s a highly professional and hugely competitive marketplace. We don’t compromise on any aspect of our work, and are proud of the small part we play in helping Hand in Hand achieve its aims.”
